We were supposed to attract Gen Z and Millennials by creating and telling a new story about Absolut Vodka.
The target audience is creative, social and trend-sensitive, valuing authentic communication and transparent brands. To appeal to them, we wanted to get away from Absolut's colorful and glamorous identity, embracing the authenticity, quality and simplicity of the product.
This led to the concept “Absolut Essence”, highlighting the core essence of Absolut's high-quality vodka through diverse perspectives and emotions. The film plays in reverse, symbolizing our focus on bringing forth the essence, starting festively and returning to the basic core – the pure, fine Vodka.
